MONTHLY
MEETING & PRESENTATION

by Don Koonze: “An Overview on
Photoshop
for
Photographers.” Don is a professional Instructor in Graphic
Arts
and will be hosting
a photo darkroom workshop for us in March.

MARSHES.

Monday’s meeting.

PERSONAL SHOOTING
For
Photo Competition in April
We have three months
to shoot new images for the Spring Photo
Competition and Show
in late April, as well as for the club’s planned
group entry in the
FotoFest contest (see below). Last
fall’s prizes were
really nice, so we
have some incentives. You will want to
start now
to shoot for the new
categories for this show: WATER,
PATTERNS
& TEXTURES, TELL
A STORY, EFFECTIVE USE OF COLOR, and
OPEN CATEGORY (any
shot that doesn’t fit otherwise). Each
of the
Categories will have
color and black-and-white divisions.
There will
also be a separate
competition for non-members, including students,
in all these
categories. Get all the details at
Monday’s meeting.
JOHN
SHAW SEMINAR –

January 18-19

FOTOFEST ENTRY
PLANNING MEETING
Saturday,

opportunity to submit a group entry of at least
20 photos for the
FotoFest contest with the theme, “Water in the
Urban
Environment.” Those interested in shooting during the next
three months toward
this project should contact Dot Mullinax at
events@woodlandsphoto.org.
This meeting may include scouting
locations around
contest. The same images can be submitted for our
club’s own

well.
