MEETING & PRESENTATION MINI CONTEST: Bring any two images for the mini-contest. Judging will start at 6:30 PM. MINI MEMBER SHOW: Barbara Edmondson will show some slides. We encourage all members to schedule these mini member shows for upcoming meetings. BE PREPARED FOR OUR SPRING PHOTO SHOW & COMPETITION CATEGORIES: Action, Nature, People, Open, B&W Entry Submission: Saturday, May 1st. from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the South Branch Library in The Woodlands in the large conference room. Judging: Monday, May 10, just prior to the meeting. Spring Town Crawfish Festival Details to be announced. WPC Booth at Earth Day Celebration The
WPC joined more than 40 area organizations and businesses as part
of the Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 3rd. The Woodlands'
festival began in the early 1990's and is designed to educate entire
family on environmental awareness. This year's event was held at
the Alden Bridge Shopping Center. WPC members Debbie Alamilla and
Brenda Driscoll manned the booth providing visitors information
about the club and inviting them to visit our monthly meeting.

MEETING & PHOTO CRITIQUE Just prior to the meeting we will have the judging of our Spring Photo Show & Competition. Our judges, Karl Hoke and Robert Kjellberg, will stay during the meeting and share comments and criticism on the submittals. PHOTOGRAPHIC DISPLAY AT PHOTOSOURCE Nolan Braud is the featured photographer at Photosource this month. They will be displaying 5 prints from his portfolio on floral close-ups The photos will be on display through the month of April. Photosource is located at 5106 Louetta, west of Kuykendahl. Stores hours are 10 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday and Saturday 10 AM to 4 PM. MAY ADVENTURE BEING PLANNED Ken Means is organizing a great field trip to the Paria Plateau in northern Arizona (north of the Grand Canyon) for the second week in May. The group will photograph the famous windcarved rocks there, the dramatic Antelope Canyon, and perhaps Lake Powell from a houseboat, among other adventures. Probably about a 6-day trip total.
