JULY Activities
STEREOPHOTOGRAPHY PRESENTATION

Dorothy Mladenka gave a presentation on Stereophotography, "How to take 3D pictures with your SLR Camera" Adding a new dimension to our photographs! We learned how to take stereo pictures with one camera, negative film, slide film or digital. We enjoyed the 3D slide show night on July 12. Thank you Dorothy and David Williams, for sharing your beautiful photographs with the membership.

DOWNTOWN FIELDTRIP

On July 17, WPC had a nice time taking architectural pictures in Downtown Houston. Thank you, Gene, for your efforts to make this happen.

MONTHLY MEETING & PRESENTATION

Monday, August 9 -6:30 to 9 PM

Ray Carrington will give a presentation on "Black and White Photography". We will learn how to take Black and White pictures, an artistic different perspective.

MINI CONTEST: Bring any two images for the mini-contest. Judging will start at 6:30 PM.

MINI MEMBER SLIDE SHOW: will start at 6:45 PM.

FIELDTRIP PROJECT: Early August, two-three weekends at the Town Center Area, taking car pictures for 2005 calendar. Great photo opportunity. For more info contact C. García

Big Bend Photo Workshop: Landscapes in the Chihuahuan Desert, blooming cactus, insects, birds, and night sky. Kathy Adams Clark will lead the trip. TEXAS BACKROADS PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION

The July 24th opening of the Texas Backroads exhibition was a grand success, over 200 people attended. Congratulations to WPC members George and Susan Carlson, Janice and Nolan Braud, Gene Foglietta, Dot Mullinax, Marty Phelix and Maria Leyva as well as the other photographers whose works are displayed. This wonderful exhibit which will be on display until August 21, at Da Vinci's, 315 W Main Street, Tomball, TX . Don't miss it!

We need club members who have digital cameras to volunteer to document our field trips and special events. Our friends John Masters and Nolan Braud have been providing digital images of our meeting presenters and other activities but could use some help.  If you are willing to help, please email to our newsletter editor.
