November Activities
At our regular meeting on November 14:

* Brett Rodríguez presented "Painting with Light, Long Exposures and Digital Tips & Tricks". Brett graduated from Texas Tech in 2005, worked for Childress Photography (one of the most progressive digital studios in America) for 4 years and studied photo communications. He gave us a very educational presentation.

* Nomination of new Board Members for 2006: Janice Braud, Mike Guidry, Dave McConnachie, Dianna Montoya and Brett Rodríguez.

We welcome our new Photo Club board members for 2005 They will participate in planning and organizing club activities for this year. We’re having our Christmas Party and ask all members to bring a dessert, a salad, or a casserole to share. Time to renew your 2006 membership. Membership evaluation of this year events. Bring your fresh ideas to the table though we will have a lot of success with our next year events.

MINI CONTEST: Bring any two photos for the mini-contest.

SLIDE SHOW: Bring couple of your recent best images, if you want to share for the slide show.

Dec. 1st. - 29 - Holiday Lights in Hermann Park, Photo Opportunity. Walk through the festive wonderland known as Holiday Lights in Hermann Park. The free event illuminates a one-mile stretch of the park around the Mary Gibbs and Jesse H. Jones Reflection Pool and the eight-acre McGovern Lake.

December 2-3 - 31st annual Dickens on the Strand festival. Taking their cue from the characters of 'A Christmas Carol', hundreds of performers dressed in authentic Victorian attire mingle with the holiday crowd. Dec. 9 -10 - The Heritage Society of Houston treats visitors to special tours of the historical homes in Sam Houston Park, each decked out with seasonal decorations reminiscent of a century ago, while costumed carolers and musicians offer a serenade for the season.
