Photo at the top: Cesar Vargas, won the November mini contest with this picture, it is not a Photoshop composite. He took this picture with a P&S Canon camera Power Shot G7 10 Mpx. He saw this leaf on the ground, and this is the tree where it came from. So he decided to pluck the stem of the leaf in the outer bark of the tree to hold it. Different perspective, good job, Cesar. PHOTO TIPS: PAINT WITH LIGHT - Painting with light is a technique that studio product photographers have used for decades. To do this, the light source is moved around a stationary product while the shutter is open on the tripod-mounted camera. The lighting effect is much softer and shadows are controlled to a greater degree than is possible with one light alone. The same thing can be done outdoors at night, using multiple bursts from a flash unit or a powerful battery-powered light to illuminate your subject. |

This is the rare one built with a pellicle mirror which means that there is no blackout during exposure since light travels through the mirror to the film and the mirror does not need to flip up during the exposure. This allows the camera to have an incredibly fast shooting rate of 10 frames per second when set on continuous high, great for sports and action shots. This camera is no lightweight since the body and motor drive are built as one unit. Camera body is in great shape but is missing the rubber eyecup. This camera sold new for $2700.00.
