January 2010 |
Meeting - January - 6:30-8:00 pm
The Woodlands Community Center
2525 Lake Robbins Road
NOTE:
The January meeting will serve as our kickoff and planning meeting for the year. A facilitated discussion will be led by the Board to get member input on what they liked/disliked about 2009 programs and topics of interest for meeting programs in 2010. We will also be looking for ideas and suggestions for field trips and workshops in 2010 that will help our members learn and grow in their photography activities. One of the things we will be trying to achieve in 2010 is even more member participation in our club activities.
Will Kennard will lead a discussion on the successful completion of our project with the Montgomery County Hospital District that will include a slide show of many of the photos taken during our ride along sessions. We will also be discussing our similar current project with the Woodlands Fire Department.
Come to the meeting prepared to talk and interact with the Board! Bring your ideas for workshops and field trips! Help us identify and create lots of opportunities for member participation during the year!
And, don’t forget to send your photos to Mike Guidry for the mini contest! The January topic is “Sculptures located in The Woodlands"

December Holiday Gathering
The December meeting served as the annual holiday party and social networking event. There was plenty of good food and discussion of the club’s activities for the year. Members were able to spend the evening talking with each other about any subject of interest, but most of the discussions were about photography and holiday plans. One of the highlights of the evening was the “What is it?” contest. After viewing a very small section of a photo, the members were asked to guess what was on the complete photo. Small prizes were awarded to the first person to shout out the correct answer.
